About Mark
Mark Plager is the Managing Partner of Plager & Schack LLP, a full-service law firm dedicated to serving businesses from entrepreneurs to large corporations. The firm was founded in 2008 to provide personalized service while achieving positive ROI and the results clients need in order to be successful.
As a practicing attorney for over 30 years, Mark worked as both in-house counsel and as outside counsel. Mark provides advice on business and intellectual property matters to numerous corporate and business clients, and he’s not afraid to litigate matters on their behalf through trial, if necessary. As a former defense counsel for insurance companies, Mark can also help business owners jump through the hoops and interface with insurance companies to get the best result.
Prior to founding Plager Shack LLP, Mark served as in-house counsel to a national metal-framing components manufacturing company. As part of his duties, Mark actively participated in intellectual property and business litigation disputes.
A registered patent attorney, Mark has extensive experience with patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and internet domain law. Mark has published numerous articles on intellectual property and is a frequent presenter on the subject to local business organizations.
Mark is a member of the California, New Jersey, New York, District of Columbia, and Colorado Bars, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1990 and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
